my heart aches for our friends who have had their life turned upside down by ICE. I can’t imagine what my life would have been like as a kid going through this with my own immigrant parents. The fear of your parents not coming home after work. The fear that I can only imagine is a reality that many families are living. Behind every story...there is a family, dreams of a better life, children who just want to hug their parents and feel safe in their homes. Hoy me duele el corazón por nuestros amigos que han tenido sus vidas desechas por ICE. Como hija de imigrantes no me puedo imaginar lo que mi vida hubiera sido al pasar lo mismo. El temor de que mis papas no llegaran a casa despues del trabajo. El miedo que yo solo puedo imaginar es la realidad que hoy están viviendo tantas familias. Detrás de cada historia, hay una familia, hay sueños de una vida mejor aquí , hay niños que solo quieren abrazar a sus papas y sentirse seguros en su casa.
